It’s 2022, which means you can be anything you want. Lingerie is now the go-to uniform for a night out. Julia Fox showed us that while jeans will always be jeans, they can also be a top, or boots, or a bag. And most recently, Madison Beer demonstrated how to wear a pair of jumpsuit-presenting-trousers.
The “Boysнιт” singer posted a series of mirror selfies to Instagram donning what appears to be a seafoam blue, strapless jumpsuit. PH๏τos of Madison performing at Outloud Raising Voices Musical Festival at West Hollywood Pride revealed the bottom half of the songstress’ curve-hugging digs, which feature flared bottoms complete with ruched, knot-like gatherings along each leg.
Outfit details posted by LA-based stylist Kris Fe revealed that the “jumpsuit” is actually a pair of trousers from designer Nensi Avetisian’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection, which Kris styled as a jumpsuit for Madison.
Onstage, Madison kept it comfy by pairing her fit with sneakers as she performed, letting her skin-тιԍнт jumpsuit take center stage.
Speaking of simplicity, the singer kept her accessories minimal with gold drop earrings and an array of tiny gold rings which accentuated her iridescent pearl pink manicure and matching baby pink phone case.
If the second-skin jumpsuit and natural-nails-but-better mani weren’t “I woke up like dis” enough, Madison’s soft glam makeup look and tousled blowout convey an overall aura of effortless beauty and complete the look.
The Instagram carousel features two almost-identical-but-totally-not mirror selfies which she captioned, “baby blue n @fentybeauty pro filtr foundation,” along with a series of pink and white emojis that totally match her clean girl aesthetic.
The minimalistic look was a turn away from the usual tour style that Madison has flaunted on Instagram, which leans more towards the Victorian-inspired corsets and flouncy, layered skirts she sported on the Life Support tour.
In an interview with E! News, Madison revealed that her “girly, dolly” on-stage outfits were inspired by the music video for her single “Reckless,” where Madison is the protagonist in her very own heartbreak-tinged fairytale.
But despite its comfy, jersey-like material, the decolletage-baring, bodycon silhouette of the “baby blue” jumpsuit is totally on-brand with Madison’s usual comfy-chic style.
As the singer descends from the European leg of her tour, which spanned March and April, we expect to see her in more relaxed yet put-together outfits.
On her birthday in March, the Pisces legend paired a cobalt, vintage Vivienne Westwood corset top and custom leather gloves with oversized, blue parachute pants, demonstrating her model-off-duty street style once again.
If you’re dying to recreate Madison’s look — but transforming a pair of archival trousers isn’t the way you want to go — we’ve gathered up some summery-chic jumpsuits below that you can use to recreate her look.
